Kuzhanthai Maruthuvam
This department imparts knowledge to the students about the various types of female genital tract disorders the way of treating them through Siddha system. Methods for healthy maintenance of pregnancy, labour and puerperium is taught both Modern and Siddha techniques. Also final year students and internees are encouraged to give Medicines prepared by them based on Siddha texts and manuscripts and they have found to give good results.
In addition the students are trained to handle USG in Obstetrics, do antenatal check ups, to conduct normal delivery and to handle Bio instruments and contraceptive devices and also collect samples for laboratory investigations.
