BSMS – Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery. Duration: 5½ Years including one year compulsory Rotatory internship. The whole duration of study is divided as follows.

For students admitted from 2007 – 08 to 2012 – 13

First professional BSMS Duration 1½ Year
Second professional BSMS Duration 1½ Year
Final professional BSMS Duration 1½ Year
Internship Duration 1 Year
For students admitted from 2013 – 14 onwards

First professional BSMS Duration 1 year
Second professional BSMS Duration 1 year
Third Professional BSMS Duration 1 Year
Final Professional BSMS Duration 1½ Year
Internship Duration 1 Year
For students admitted from 2021 – 22 onwards

First professional BSMS Duration 1½ Year
Second professional BSMS Duration 1½ Year
Third professional BSMS Duration 1½ Year
Internship Duration 1 Year

Tamil and English are the medium of instruction for the course. However the students must write the quotations in Tamil as it is in the original texts wherever it is necessary.

Syllabus and course outline is followed as prescribed by the The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai framed by the Central council for Indian Medicine, New Delhi.

The college is approved by the central council of Indian Medicine and Dept of Ayush, Ministry of Health & family welfare, Govt of India and affliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.
