                         In Kuzhanthai Maruthuvam OPD, IPD students are taught and trained to diagnose pediatric based diseases on siddha as well as modern aspect (Integrated Investigation) and treat all kinds of diseases occurs in children under the age of 18 years in siddha aspect. 

                       In OPD Students are exposed to get hands on training in diagnosis and management of Suram(Fever), Erumal (Cough), Lasunathabitham (Tonsilitis), Peenisam (Sinusitis), Iraippu erumal (Bronchial asthma), Kanam (Complicated LRTI), Maantham, Gunmam, Kudalkirumi (Worm infestation), Paandu (Anemia), Ootasathu Kuraipadu (Nutritional deficiency), Karappan (Eczema), Kaalanjagapadai (psoriasis), Podugu, Sirangu (Scabies), Fungal Infection, Tholvaratchi, Venpadai (Leucoderma), Puzhuvettu (Alopecia), Balar Mootuvaatham (Juvenile Arthritis), Ammai (Chickenpox, Mumps, Measles), Enbu Murivu (Fracture).

                    IPD function as a referral centre for particularly chronic Pediatric neurological diseases like Cerebral palsy, ASD, Hyperactivity disorder, Infantile hemiplegia, Bala vatham Speech disorder, Learning disability from various parts of tamil nadu and nearby states. In IPD students are well exposed to get hands on training in the external management of chronic neurological diseases. In addition to regular Thokkanam (Massage), Varmam and special external therapies like Sirasutharai, Thappalam, Podi thimirdhal (Powder massage), Nasiyam, Kizhai given for special children. Special internal and External management with goat brain along with specified herbal formulation are given to the children who are suffering from chronic neurological disorder which are mentioned above.

               Immuno boosters are given in OPD and IPD for Immuno compromised children for therapeutic purpose and other children for prophylaxis. In OPD and IPD regular clinics are given by doctors of the pediatric department. Internees are presenting weekly seminars in the academic and research aspect. Kuzhanthai Maruthuvam faculty members and internees are conducting medical camp periodically.
